  1. Hi Eric,

My name is Caleb Resnick, and I’ve done a bit of work focused on the Buncombe County Jail. If you have any time, please visit a website I’ve created, fixjail.org. I’m very curious to hear your thoughts, and am interested in potentially collaborating in the future. Thank you and I hope to hear from you.

    Best,
    Caleb Resnick

  2. Hi Caleb,

Thank you for reaching out and for your concern for folks caught up in the criminal legal system. As you can see from the posts, I am definitely also seeking to improve the system. My own approach is different from yours though. My observation working with folks in the system is that they are also interested in improvement and that the barriers are most often in spite of (not because of) their intentions. And so my approach is to try to share information about how the system actually works to help both the public and system actors drive change.

Best of luck in your work,

    Eric
